Pastor Amanda Hedden
Amanda comes to Hatteras Island from Gibsonville, NC. She received a B.S.Ed. in Social Sciences Education and a B.S. in History with a Minor in Political Science from Western Carolina University. She worked as a Social Studies Teacher for five years before following a call to ministry. While pursuing her M.Div from Duke Divinity School, she served as a part-time local pastor at Emmanuel UMC in Burlington, NC. Amanda is passionate about hearing people’s stories, working with people of all ages, and sharing messages that lead others towards compassion and justice. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, reading, and spending time with her husband and dog, Zoe.
